Book Awards 2010
Entries must be postmarked by June 30, 2010
Each year Phi Alpha Theta awards two $500 grants for books published in the field
of history written by members. The awards are as follows:
- One award of $500 for the Best First Book published by a member
of Phi Alpha Theta in the field of history
- One award of $500 for the Best Subsequent Book published by a member
of Phi Alpha Theta in the field of history
Book entries must be published during the 2009-2010 academic year to be eligible
for the 2010 Award. The author must be a verified member of Phi Alpha Theta.
Previous recipients of Best Subsequent Book Awards are not eligible to participate
in the competition. The author must be a verified member of Phi Alpha Theta at the
time of application.
Submit six (6) copies of each book along with your completed application to:

It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all required documentation
is received by the competition deadline. Incomplete applications or those submitted
after the deadline or by individuals whose membership in Phi Alpha Theta cannot
be verified will not be considered for the competition.
